Suggest A Business
Know an automotive shop worth knowing about? We'd like to hear from you.
How to reach us
We're always looking for exceptional automotive repair and maintenance businesses to recommend. If you've found a shop that goes the extra mile—whether it's their technical expertise, customer care, or commitment to honest work—we want to know about it. Recommendations come directly from people in the industry and car owners like yourself who've experienced genuine quality. The best way to get in touch is to tell us about the business and why it matters to you. We'll review every submission and consider it seriously for inclusion in our directory. Your recommendation carries real weight because it comes from genuine experience rather than marketing copy.
What to expect and when
| What happens | Timeline | What we're looking for |
|---|---|---|
| You submit a recommendation | Now | Shop name, location, what makes them exceptional |
| We review your submission | 1–2 weeks | Alignment with our directory standards and your reasoning |
| We verify the business | 2–4 weeks | Current hours, services offered, customer feedback patterns |
| We decide on inclusion | 4–6 weeks total | Whether the shop meets our criteria for recommendation |
| You hear the outcome | By end of week 6 | Acceptance notification or explanation of why we passed |
We don't charge a fee and we don't require permission from the business before we list them. Suggestions sometimes take time because we verify the details ourselves before we recommend anything. If we decline a suggestion, it's usually because the shop doesn't operate in our region or their services don't align with what we cover.
What we do not do
We won't list a business just because they ask, and we won't accept payment in exchange for inclusion. We don't rank shops by price or by size—a small independent operation can be exactly as valuable as a multi-location chain. We don't repeat claims the shop makes about themselves without verifying them first. We avoid shops with unresolved disputes, frequent complaints, or a pattern of cutting corners. We won't recommend a business if our research finds reasons not to trust them, and we're transparent about that when we decline. Our goal is to give you honest information so you can make a real choice, not to fill a directory with as many names as possible.
